Our Top Ten New Year's Resolutions

We're just 5 days into 2012 and already many of our new year's resolutions have been broken. (Working with really talented chefs who make amazing food will do that.)

But, we've managed to keep a few so far and thought by making them public we might be held even more accountable for our resolutions this year.

So without further ado, here are ten of our new year's resolutions:

1. 'I resolve to find more local poets willing to come to Miriam's Kitchen and share their work with our guests.' --MK Deputy Director Catherine Crum

2. 'I resolve to stop smoking.' --MK guest

3. 'I resolve to create a plan for engaging our supporters in our advocacy work.' --MK Director of Advocacy Michael Fisher

4. 'I resolve to get in better shape.' --MK guest

5. 'I resolve to not yell as much.' --MK Director of Kitchen Operations Steve Badt (We aren't sure he can do it...)

6. 'I resolve to write
more congratulatory
haiku for our staff.'
--MK Executive Director Scott Schenkelberg

7. 'Ahorrar dinero (save money!)' --MK guest

8. 'I resolve to spend less time on email and more time with our generous supporters.' --MK Director of Development Sara Gibson

9. 'I resolve to make sure all of our volunteers feel appreciated. And to make sure all of our volunteers RSVP on time (this one might have been broken already.)' --MK Corporate Relations and Volunteer Manager Ashley Lawson

10. 'I resolve to help others stick to their resolutions.' --MK guest
