Volunteer Opportunity: Point-in-Time Census
On Wednesday, January 30, 2013, the District of Columbia will conduct its annual Point-in-Time census of homeless men, women and children living on the streets of DC (see the results of last year's census here.)
We invite you to join members of Miriam's Kitchen in volunteering for this important work.
From 9:30 pm to 2:00 am on the night of the census, volunteer teams led by trained homeless outreach professionals will canvass the city for unsheltered homeless individuals and conduct a brief survey about their experiences and circumstances. Training is provided to volunteers.
Your investment of time will help improve the delivery and funding of services to this vulnerable population.
Register as a Point-in-Time volunteer here.
If you have any questions about the Point-in-Time census, please do not hesitate to contact Lissa Ramsepaul, Miriam's Kitchen Senior Case Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (202) 452-8926 x 226.
