EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
Adam Rocap, LICSW, supports organizational capacity, growth, culture, and continuity, with a continued focus of aligning our programs, advocacy, and overall functioning with our vision. Adam supports the Social Services, Outreach, Housing, and Advocacy teams, in addition to continued exploration of program opportunities identified in our strategic plan. Adam spends about a third of his time on systems change, continuing direct work on key policy priorities/initiatives to end chronic homelessness in D.C. Adam also has a role in organizational management, through his presence and work on Miriam’s Kitchen’s Leadership Team, Directors Team, and other inter-departmental project teams. Adam joined Miriam’s Kitchen in 2007 and since then has served as Chief Program Officer, Director of Social Services, and Senior Case Manager.
Adam was appointed to the DC Interagency Council on Homelessness (ICH) in January 2016. He provides leadership on several ICH committees, especially focused on workgroups to end veteran and chronic homelessness, guiding the Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement (or Coordinated Entry) System, and overall ICH strategic planning. A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Adam was honored by the Greater Washington Community Foundation with the 2018 David Bradt Non-Profit Leadership Award and is part of the 2020 Leadership Greater Washington class. Adam was also the recipient of the DC Behavioral Health Association’s 2015 Founder’s Award which recognizes members who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to their community and embrace proactive, solutions-focused management of community-based behavioral health practice. In addition, Adam was a Future Executive Director Fellow through the Nonprofit Roundtable in 2014-2015 and holds a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University. He serves on the Alumni Board of the National Catholic School of Social Service at Catholic University and received their Alumni Achievement Award in 2017. He received a Master of Social Work degree from Catholic University and a BA in Religion from Davidson College.
