Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel personal injury attorneys recently showed their commitment to end chronic homelessness by donating $5,000 to Miriam’s Kitchen in support of its essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, many of the places where individuals go to get a good meal; wash their hands; use the restroom; and access critical care have been forced to shut down. This support from Chaikin Sherman will support Miriam’s Kitchen programs that provide food security, health care and housing to vulnerable neighbors.
“Our services ensure that our guests’ immediate and long-term needs are met; starting with a meal, and ultimately reaching the goal of permanent housing,” said Miriam’s Kitchen Director of Communications James C. Durrah II. “We appreciate Chaikin Sherman’s generosity, partnership, and support of our goal to guide people home.”
The donation is part of the law firm’s “My COVID Hero” photo and video campaign to highlight COVID heroes and support local nonprofits providing essential services and care throughout the pandemic.
“Miriam’s Kitchen has done an incredible job on the front line by continuing to support guests experiencing homelessness by providing hot, fresh meals with a smile,” said Allan Siegel, firm partner. “This campaign was a way for us to thank them for making a positive difference and to bring more awareness to the critical work they do. We are happy to contribute to their efforts and encourage others to do the same.”
