Cheryl Williams represents Western Presbyterian Church on the Miriam’s Kitchen Board. This is Cheryl’s second Board term on the Miriam’s Board where she served as Board President in 2005.  A retired nonprofit executive, her career focused on supporting and improving public K-12 education.  She directed the Education Technology Program at the National School Boards Association (NSBA); served as Education Vice President at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB); and as Executive Director of the Learning First Alliance, a coalition of 16 national K-12 organizations.  She came out of retirement to fill the post of interim CEO at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) during the search for a permanent CEO.  Currently, she is a tour guide with Washington Walks.

 

Cheryl has a BA and MA in English and Secondary Education from the University of Maryland.
