Stronger Together: One City, Our Home

May 14, 6 - 9 pm @Hook Hall

Join us for Miriam’s Kitchen’s Annual Celebration—an inspiring evening that brings our community together around a shared vision: a Washington, DC where everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.

This year’s theme, Stronger Together: One City, Our Home, highlights the power of collective action. When neighbors, partners, and advocates come together with compassion and purpose, lasting change is possible. Through housing, health services, and advocacy, Miriam’s Kitchen continues to work toward a city where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Join us at Run 4 MK for a morning of purpose, movement, and community.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 7am at Fletcher’s Cove is our fourth annual Run 4 MK. In partnership with Bishop’s Events, we’re coming together to run in support of ending chronic homelessness in Washington, DC 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏿!

Run 4 MK honors the legacy of Waldon Adams, our late friend, former guest, and community leader. Waldon was an avid runner—who completed more than 80 races, including 15 marathons. He was also a passionate advocate who helped others find safe and stable housing. We will celebrate his life and impact, five years after his passing.

Most of us view the summer as a season that brings lots of fun and celebration. But for many of the individuals we serve at Miriam’s Kitchen, summer means sweltering temperatures and a heightened state of emergency.

Experiencing homelessness during the summer is incredibly dangerous so it’s important that those living outdoors are protected from life-threatening situations like dehydration and heat strokes. This is why it’ll take the generosity of all of us to confront what’s happening now, and in the weeks ahead.

Organizations who join the campaign can staff a meal shift, provide seasonal essentials that are critical for surviving the summer’s heat, and ensure Miriam’s Kitchen can provide life saving resources that bring people home!
