Chef Marcus joined Miriam’s Kitchen in 2019 after a career in corporate construction and 25 years as a caterer for weddings, cookouts, and family reunions. Marcus brings his skills as VP of Operations to manage a smooth-running team in a fast-paced kitchen. Chef Cheryl recruited Marcus after discovering his hidden cooking talent in their church’s culinary ministry. Marcus first volunteered at Miriam’s Kitchen on MLK Day 2017 and was hired two years later as a part-time Sous Chef and promoted to Executive Sous Chef in 2020. Marcus holds a BS in Business Administration from Strayer University.
