I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and raised in lovely Toronto, Canada. I moved to Virginia originally for school, but it soon became home. I have a pretty cool kid who acts more grown up than his papa. I got my undergrad in criminology but soon fell in love with the world of social services while working as an outreach worker in Arlington. Soon after finishing grad school, I was fortunate enough to land a position at the best nonprofit in the city!
Where I’m from, and the life circumstances are what give me the drive and passion to work in the social services world. I have nothing but gratitude for the work I do, and the team that I work for, for the past 7 years!
