Housing Programs
Miriam’s Kitchen provides wraparound services to 325 residents and this intensive support ensures that 99% of those clients are stable at the end of their first year. Permanent Supportive Housing provides a housing subsidy voucher plus a case manager through Miriam’s Kitchen.
Once clients are matched with our program, Miriam’s Kitchen works to meet them wherever they are, building a trusting relationship, and supporting them through the entire application and housing process. Once in housing, we provide the support necessary for clients to retain stable housing. We serve as a coordinator and advocate between clients, their landlords and service providers, an essential strategy for long-term success.
Case managers support clients’ goals for returning to an active life in the wider community with a broad spectrum of services, ranging from:
- Supporting their health and wellness goals
- Helping them set and keep appointments with medical professionals and counselors
- Developing budgeting and daily living skills
- Assisting them in efforts to find employment and benefits
- Providing Crisis and safety assessment as necessary, ensuring connections to deeper health and mental health supports if appropriate
Permanent Supportive Housing isn’t just about having a home. It’s about having expert case management services to help a client stay in that home.
It’s about helping clients thrive in their new lives.
